Crockpot corned beef and cabbage is the easiest way to cook a corned beef. After tossing everything in the crockpot and letting the corned beef and cabbage cook you end up with the most amazing, tender and delicious corned beef and cabbage ever.
Prep your crockpot by spraying non stick cooking spray or lining it with a disposable crockpot liner and setting the temperature setting to high.
Place your corned beef in the crockpot, pour the seasoning packet that comes with it on top of the meat then pour enough water to cover the whole corned beef.
Put the lid on the crockpot to start cooking on high for 8.5 hours.
After 3 hours of cooking, if you are adding carrots and/or potatoes you will want to add them to the crockpot so they can cook with the corned beef.
At the 7 hour mark rinse your cabbage and cut it into wedges. Add the cabbage wedges into the crockpot.
Cook the corned beef and veggies for another hour. At the 8 hour mark check the corned beef and the cabbage to see if it is cooked all the way. You also want to make sure the vegetables are tender.
If the beef is not fully cooked and the veggies are still a bit hard, continue cooking for another 30 minutes.
Once it is done cooking remove the beef from the crockpot and allow to cool and set for 5 minutes before cutting.
Once the corned beef is completely cooled and set, slice corned beef into slices.
Remove the veggies in place them in a serving bowl.
